This year’s Gala for Hope under the umbrella of the American Cancer Society Asian Initiatives Division was chaired by IUG Business Solutions CEO, Edward Ip. The Gala for Hope honored Celebrity Designer Zang Toi and Director of Community Affairs for Verizon, June Jee. Both Mr. Toi and Ms. Jee had dedicated huge amounts of time and energy raising awareness and funds in the fight against cancer.
The night’s festivities was held at Taj Lounge in Chelsea and was attended by special guests Crystle Stewart, Miss USA 2008, Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008 and Supermodel, Ling Tan. In addition, various city and state representatives attended to present the American Cancer Society Asian Initiatives Division special proclamations for their outstanding work in the community they serve.
Obaid Kadwani of Namaste America hosted the event. Alfa Garcia and Makalina’s Lotus Dancers provided entertainment.
